Problem-based learning differs from traditional approaches to learning and is more student-focused. It involves introducing the students to a problem, encouraging development of ideas, using prior knowledge, and discussing thoughts. These processes lead to ideas about how to solve the problem and the actions that will be taken to reach the solution.
